Amy battled mental health struggles in her teen and young adult years. Her ability to work through and conquer those challenges has made her confident that she can overcome any obstacle that comes her way.
She loves adventure and at age 18, she decided to leave her home state and travel the world. In that time, she experienced everything from feeding kangaroos in Australia to traversing the dark alleys of Morocco or watching flamenco dancing in Spain.
Amy now considers Eugene her home and is excited to work with youth who are facing similar struggles and to whom she feels closely identified.
In her spare time, Amy can be found writing at local cafes, listening to poetry, or practicing yoga and Zumba.
