Caitlin grew up in Bakersfield California. She’s had a strong love for horseback riding since she was a child and continues that passion to this day. After high school, she enrolled at California State Polytechnic University where she studied Hospitality Management. Her first year of college was rough; she struggled with the transition and had her first experiences with anxiety. The following summer, she made the life-changing decision to move to Bandon, a small town on the Oregon coast. She fell in love with the community and promised herself that she would move back to Coos County one day. She truly believes that her time on the coast helped her discover who she was meant to be.
At the end of the summer, Caitlin moved back to California to complete her studies. She spent the next couple years working within the hospitality industry for companies like Marriott and Ritz-Carlton before eventually feeling a pull on her heart to transition to a new career path. After a life changing experience with a coworker who experienced thoughts of suicide and depression, a seed was planted. Shortly after that experience, the opportunity to work with Youth M.O.V.E. Oregon was presented. The sudden decision to move felt like a no-brainer. Caitlin is endlessly excited to see how she’ll grow from this unique and challenging opportunity.
In her free time, Caitlin can be found riding horses, collecting vinyl records, reading, writing or exploring the beautiful Oregon coastline.
